A Curse Becomes A Blessing

Hello. I'm Russ Tanner, President of Herb Allure, Inc.

I lost some of the best years of my life to annoying and eventually debilitating illnesses. They ranged from ringing in my ears, to the inability to digest certain foods properly, to the inability to remember the name of the person who was just introduced to me.

Although I had been active, athletic and generally very healthy during my teens and 20's, I began to experience a gradual, then more rapid decline in my overall health in my early 30's. I lived with these symptoms for a few years without realizing the full extent to which they had taken over and controlled my life... I just attributed these changes to aging until I realized that I was quickly becoming less healthy than many of my friends my age.

Being someone who always asks why, I began my search for help in the natural health field. Herbs and nutritional supplements helped me a lot. I began to believe that I was on my way to good health again. Unfortunately, after a couple of years, the original symptoms—and several new ones—entered my life and my overall health declined rapidly. At that point, I was utterly frustrated and angry and honestly felt as though I'd lost the battle. I knew there must be something seriously wrong.

Finally, on a fateful day, while engaging is a casual conversation about my deteriorating health with a friend, I received the second most valuable piece of information I ever received in my life (I'll save the first for another time).

This person, who was performing website design work for my business, told me how she virtually "cured" herself from fibromyalgia when none of the countless doctors she had seen over a period of years could. In fact, they could not even begin to explain the cause of this illness she suffered with other than to give it a name and write her a prescription for a pharmaceutical drug that only made her feel worse.

In that moment, I knew I had found the answer I'd been searching for. So, in order to build up my courage to take action on what I had just learned (and to learn what I should do next), I acquired a book entitled, "It's All In Your Head" by Hal Huggins. I took the next two days off and read the book cover to cover. As soon as I was finished, I told my business partner, "We're having our fillings replaced"! It was the day I regained hope.

Although I am very angry at the lies that have been told about mercury in order to keep it in the marketplace and to keep the pockets of the most diabolical people on earth lined, I have decided to attempt to be a blessing to others. That's what this website is about.

Now that I've been "mercury-free" for 4 years, my sometimes-overbearing shyness has fallen off like water. Now, I'm the guy that talks to salespeople in stores about mercury. My customers on the phone will hear about it. And, of course, family and friends always get an earful.

This is because I don't want any of them or their children to go through what my business partner (Laura) and I went through. If I can help them avoid that type of grievous pain and suffering, I can make peace with the ten or so years of my life that was lost (actually, many more years than that if you count the childhood ailments and emotional complications).

It's encouraging that the usual response I receive from people (strangers) when I mention the subject of mercury in dental fillings is, "Yeah. I've heard something about that".

Being a life-long people watcher, I know that most people have to hear something 3 to 7 times (at least) before they will consider believing it. I feel that I am blessed to be serving as the watchman on the wall, sounding the alarm; being part of the solution; and being one of those 3-to-7 that will—hopefully—prevent others from having to suffer.

I've been there and done it, and am still recovering. Life is immeasurably better now. My 17-plus ailments are virtually gone. Most of the fears (and shyness) I've had throughout my life are gone. Everything is so much better!
